"I get very passionate about what I think is right."-Hillary Rodham Clinton

Stuff today….

So….I see that the One does acknowledge PTSD…and hey so does the liberal C and L, they even highlighted what the pres said about PTSD in his speech today in ATL…

Iraq Troop Withdrawal: “On Schedule and As Promised” | Crooks and Liars.

Regarding PTSD:

We’re directing unprecedented resources to treating the signature wounds of today’s wars — traumatic brain injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. And I recently signed into law the Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act. That’s a long name, but let me tell you what it does. It not only improves treatment for traumatic brain injury and PTSD, it gives new support to many of the caregivers who put their own lives on hold to care for their loved one.

An appeal to PTSD sufferers to reach out and seek help:

And as so many of you know, PTSD is a pain like no other — the nightmares that keep coming back, the rage that strikes suddenly, the hopelessness that’s led too many of our troops and veterans to take their own lives. So today, I want to say in very personal terms to anyone who is struggling — don’t suffer in silence. It’s not a sign of weakness to reach out for support — it’s a sign of strength. Your country needs you. We are here for you. We are here to help you stand tall. Don’t give up. Reach out.

So why do these people not see that my husband, and other victims of the attacks at World Trade Center, are still suffering from this PTSD….so just build the damn thing someplace else.

To wit….An Open Letter on the Ground Zero Mosque

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo are locked into their position on the plan to build a mosque and Muslim community center—the Cordoba House—at Ground Zero. They maintain there are no security risks posed by the project and that this is simply an issue of religious expression. The Lower Manhattan Community Board, after holding hearings, recommended against halting the project.

But there is an additional message that politicians and business leaders could convey to Cordoba House planner Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf that does not contradict their argument about freedom of religious expression and private property. …

Wish I could read the rest of it, but alas…I do not pay for a subscription to WSJ and as such…am screwed when it comes to reading the entire article. But one of the commenters asked…how far away from Ground Zero is enough…yes, I think Tribeca is far enough.  Look…see how far the human remains were flung from the explosions….how far did the debris from the towers shoot down the streets away from the WTC plaza. These people calling me a bigot and a racist for not wanting a slap in the face is ridiculous. Just move the damn thing further away.

Oh yeah, and then there was this over at No Quarter:

About what happened to the Hillary Delegates back in 2008. I guess it’s better late than never, though the damage Obama has done to this country is immeasurable. I imagine we know only the tip of the iceberg at this point – the Nancy Pelosi philosophy of finding out just what has been done after the votes have been cast.

Yes, people are speaking out now about what machinations ensued at the Democratic (sic) National Convention. Here are Gloria Allred and Alma Sanford, along with an anonymous delegate, speaking out about the way the Obama Campaign and the DNC stole the election from Hillary Rodham Clinton:

I think the days of the Democratic Party being Democratic are long, long, gone. I appreciate Ms. Allred’s sentiment and all, but the party she thought she knew no longer exists, at least as far as I am concerned. It made that abundantly clear May 31, 2008.

And here we are, getting ready for yet another election. What are the Democrats doing? Throwing lavish parties for one of their House representatives who had had a number of ethics violations levied against him. Oh, yes, that would be Charlie Rangel with his big birthday bash at the Plaza. That will sure show him, won’t it? Sheesh. Oh, sure, Obama is making some CYA rumblings about Rangel being old and wishing he could end his career with dignity, but it is way too late for that already, isn’t it? But that party for him is still going forward, and the numbers of Democrats expressing concern can be counted on two hands. Way to make clear the Party’s priorities, DNC, especially around ETHICS.

Then there is Maxine Waters with her current Ethics charges. She already has been under scrutiny by some of us for the direction in which she wants to take the country, but these charges are concrete indicators of how she does business. Waters and Rangel both, I should say.

And that’s just it – the DNC has made its priorities clear, and it is not to represent the will of the voter, and certainly not to conduct business in an ethical manner. Maybe this has been going on for a while, but never was it so blatant as 2008. Voter fraud, caucus fraud, false charges of racism – yep, ethics do not seem high on the DNC list, unless it is a way to violate more of them.

I hope the voters send THEM a clear message in 2010 that we do care about people’s behavior. We do care how the parties conduct themselves, and how their leaders conduct themselves. And, assuming our votes actually count, that we can make that clear in the polling place in 2010, and beyond.

Ethics do matter. It’s high time the Democrats, and Republicans, too, act like it.

Ethics do matter. It’s high time the Democrats, and Republicans, too, act like it. Amen to that!

Every time I tried to write today’s post, something kept me from starting it…whether it was lack of internet service…having to cook dinner, or just to take a nap. So as you can see, I’ve added an “evening” to the title. That should make everything OK… Obscene. https://t.co/rf80eeqi5Q — Nancy Sinatra (@NancySinatra) November 14, 2017 […]
  • Sunday Reads: No Moore… #MeAt14
Well, when I was 14 years old, I had to wear a back brace. The corset kind, that came down over my hips and half way through around my ass. It was quite a surprise for all those teenage boys who felt the “urge” to carry out their “need” to slap ass…they got a hand […]

  • Sunday Reads: What’s going on?
Good Morning I am so disgusted with Brazile and Warren. I am pissed off that this latest and blatant smear campaign on Hillary Clinton followed the same MO as the Comey fuck over from last year…release some “bombshell” reported as “over the top” and “scandalous” news by MSM, which is an obvious attack on a […]

I don’t want to tell you what I thought about after the details about the attack in NYC started to become clear. One word I haven’t heard since yesterday late afternoon….Russia. • Sunday Afternoon Reads: Weather is Frightful?
Good Afternoon. Here in Banjoville, the temps outside are cold enough for flakes and flurries of snow, and inside our house…the dust from drywall is creating its own flurries. I am writing this post on my new laptop, which is still not completely set up..while I sit in a room, which is still designated a […]
