Dozens speak out against planned mosque near ground zero at NYC hearing on landmark status

My feelings about this particular thing caused a mess with a group I was in…but I do not regret it one bit. I still feel that this does not belong in Ground Zero. There already is a number of Mosques in and around the WTC site.

FOXNews.com – Dozens speak out against planned mosque near ground zero at NYC hearing on landmark status.

And my disgust is not about hate, it is about respect for the over 3000 people  who were killed on that site. It is about honoring these poor victims of terrorism…not some PR move.

That is it. These families are still waiting for their memorial. They are still finding remains of those who were killed almost 10 years after the attacks.

Why do they have to put it here, at Ground Zero…why can’t they at least put it in another location. It is very upsetting to me…

One of the first things we were taught in my survey of politics course when I was Junior in college, was the importance of pens in Washington D.C.  LBJ made them a big deal, when signing legislation…he would sign his name…each letter with a different pen, and then give this special pens out to those […]

The above tweet found this morning…. I’m not in the mindset to come up with the words today. In fact, I doubt that my brain can wrap itself around any type of news that poured out of London late last night. When I heard the sirens on the television, my parents were watching live coverage, […]
